WORK WITH HOLLY

WORK WITH HOLLY

Holding space for women seeking clarity, confidence, and a stronger sense of self.

For women navigating self-doubt, emotional overload and identity disconnection.

You’re not broken - but maybe you feel like you are. Whether you’re a mum, a perfectionist, a people-pleaser (or all three), I offer gentle, down-to-earth therapy to help you reconnect with who you really are.

About My Work

I'm Holly, a BACP-registered therapist based in Lichfield and online. I help women who feel like they’re constantly not enough, even when they’re doing everything.

Many of my clients are mothers, creatives, or professionals who feel like they’ve lost themselves somewhere between who they were and who they’re "meant" to be.

I specialise in:

  • Low self-worth & conditional self-acceptance

  • People-pleasing, perfectionism & emotional overload

  • Identity struggles & motherhood transitions

My approach is warm, honest and person-centred. No performance. No pressure. Just space to show up as you are.

What I Offer

Weekly Therapy

Ongoing support for deeper self-exploration and healing.

  • £60 per 1hour session in-person (Lichfield) or online (Google Meet)

  • Offered weekly or fortnightly at regular or flexible times (where available)

I offer a discount rate of £45 for those on mat leave, low/no income, students or simply because that would make therapy accessible to you. No questions asked - just let me know you would like the discounted rate.

"As You Need" Sessions

Flexible check-ins for when life feels heavy.

  • Same price as regular therapy

  • Booked ad hoc, based on my availability

  • Ideal for returning clients or those needing drop-in support

Please note: These are not suitable for crisis support or long-term therapy without an existing relationship.

What It’s Like to Work With Me

I’m not here to analyse you with a clipboard or fix you with a checklist. Therapy with me is more like a really honest conversation - one where you don’t have to be the capable one, or the calm one, or the one who’s got it all sorted.

You can bring your mess. Your overthinking. Your tired brain and your big feelings. It’s all welcome. Even if you don’t know where to start, we’ll figure it out together.

Some weeks you might talk loads. Some weeks you might not. We go with what you need. There’s no pressure to be “on.” Just space to breathe and feel and say the things you’ve been carrying around quietly for years.

I’ll draw from person-centred therapy, compassion-focused approaches, and my lived experience as a woman, therapist, and mum. My work is grounded in the belief that you are already worthy. You don’t have to earn your right to rest, to be listened to, or to feel at home in your own skin.

If any part of you is thinking “maybe I need this” — that’s enough.

My Experience, Qualifications & Training

  • I am a fully-qualified therapist with over 10 years experience

  • I hold a masters level, BACP Accredited Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology.

  • I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)

  • I adhere to the strict ethical and professional codes of the BACP and fulfil their requirements for ongoing supervision and continued professional development

  • Previously to setting up my private practice I worked as a therapist in Higher Education College and a charity for young adults where I worked with many complex issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, low self-esteem and much more.

  • Since qualification I continue developing my knowledge and skills in a number of areas including: compassion focussed therapy, maternal mental health and the affects of hormones on women’s mental health (including PMDD, Postpartum and Perimenopause)

Is this you?

Therapy with me might be right if:

  • You constantly compare yourself to others and feel like you're never enough

  • You’re burnt out from being everything for everyone

  • You struggle to say no, even when you're exhausted

  • You feel lost, disconnected or unsure who you are anymore

  • You’re navigating motherhood or identity shifts and need a space for you

  • You want to stop being so hard on yourself, but you don’t know how

Get in touch

You deserve to feel good enough.

If you’re looking for a therapist who will hold space for you exactly as you are, help you make sense of what feels heavy, and gently guide you back towards yourself - I’d love to work with you.

This isn’t about creating a “new you.” It’s about remembering the woman you’ve always been.

A Note on Motherhood

Many of the women I work with are navigating motherhood in some way — whether that’s becoming a new mum, feeling like they’ve lost their identity, or carrying the emotional load for everyone else.

If that’s you, you might also want to visit YOUR MAMAHOOD — a collective I founded to help mums feel seen, supported, and less alone. It offers resources, support directories and events for maternal wellbeing.
