About Amanda 〰️
I absolutely love to work with people. I have worked with people my whole life, especially to emotionally support them.
I have over 20 years of professional experience and training. I worked in the charitable organisation of Victim Support, the local authority branch of Youth Offending Teams, the charity Circles of Support and Accountability and Cruse Bereavement Care. My training at university and further education in counselling, psychotherapy, hypnotherapy and hypnobirthing have all shaped my practice. All of these roles and experiences have helped me understand that people need to be heard and understood in a compassionate way without judgement, yet feel held and safe enough to explore their thoughts and feelings to help them feel empowered. Being heard and understood are fundamental human needs that go a long way towards healing hurt that life can sometimes bring and moving forward into the future.
The way I work with client centred focus enhances autonomy, confidence and self-efficacy, which in turn promotes healing, building assertiveness, and empowering choice in pregnancy, childbirth and parenthood.

CLIENT LOVE
Client Testimonial: "Been a while now since my sessions. I have made massive progress. Thursday I gave blood. A very surreal and overwhelming experience but life changing. It was a amazing. Never would I of dreamt of the day it would happen, my family have been so delighted and they are so proud of this achievement. Thank you so much, your session made me feel safe and welcoming and like I say they have become life changing."
Client Testimonial: Amanda has helped me work through the many ups and downs life often throws at you, as well as parental bereavement as very young adult. Amanda was very calm, nurturing and used a variety of techniques to help navigate my journey. I felt at ease throughout my sessions, much like I would in my own home. I always found Amanda to be professional throughout, and I felt it was important that she remembered my story, as this was something I hadn't experienced before.
Client Testimonial: My time with Amanda bought so many more benefits than I first intended. She is incredibly inviting and I found it very easy to open and honest with her; something I had struggled with in previous therapy sessions. I knew straight away that she would make a difference; so good that I happily travelled 2 hours for my sessions
